If you’ve purchased bread within the last two weeks from me…Did you notice that I changed my bread shape? Don’t worry! The recipe is the exact same. The weight of the dough (850-900 g) is the same. You still get the same amount of bread! I didn’t shrink the loaves or change anything except the shape!

I had been using round bannetons to give my sourdough bread that traditional round shape. However, recently, I switched to new, rectangular bread pans. Why? If i would’ve stuck with my round shape, I could only fit about 9-12 loaves of bread into my new oven. With the new rectangular pans I can bake up to 16-18 loaves at a time! Wayyyy more efficient! My customers also tell me the rectangular bread is easier to cut!

It’s a win for everybody! What do you think?!☺️🥖

Okay Stronghurst,

Hit me with pumpkin muffin & pumpkin cinnamon roll reviews. You’re the only group I’ve sold those flavors to so far.

What do I need to change???

Okay, I hear you!

I know you’re antsy to place orders again. Here’s my (current) plan when it comes to how the bakery will operate….

I am not going to FULLY open orders 24/7 again until January 1st. My plan is to have them open all the time (or until full) from January 1-August 31. During that time I will also continue to do farmers markets and weddings here and there, just not as heavily as I do in the fall! Sept 1-Dec 31 I plan to have orders closed because I am absolutely swamped (in the best way) with vendor shows, the holidays, and weddings. Not to mention my full time job and my toddler! I told you, this will be trial and error as I learn how to run the bakery and juggle everything else all at once! I’ll make it work, I promise.

Does having orders closed mean you won’t be able to order anything at all ever until January 1st? No. Let me explain…I have a few weekends I have left open this fall and winter so that I can open those dates specifically for custom pre orders. I will also be taking orders over Thanksgiving and Christmas break per usual! I will also be doing my well loved flash sales here and there. Cookie flights, buy one get one bread deals, holiday bundles, cookie platters, dinner rolls, etc from now until January! You will have plenty of opportunities to get your fix. I promise!

Could I find a balance before now and Jan 1 and completely change my plans? Yes! Could the new oven drastically change my plans? Yes! I’ll always keep you updated! Thank you for being here, keeping me busy, eating my sweets, and supporting the bakery!🫶🏻🩷🥖

Man…
Henderson County. You ended market season the exact same way you started it for me- sold out FAST!

You were my very first vendor show ever this summer. I thought it was fitting that you also happened to be my very last farmers market of the summer season!

You were the start of the bakery, actually! If you’ve been here for the whole ride so far, you’ll remember that this all started with cinnamon roll sales last Christmas. You blew those up. From there, it was game on! You came to me with flavor requests, recipe ideas, custom orders… and so the era of the pink tent began. Once again, you were my loudest cheerleaders. Everywhere the tent went up this summer, you were always standing there in line, waiting for my baked goods-most of the time before I even got to town! It didn’t matter the weather, what other events you had going on, nothing. You showed up for me every single market. I can barely keep up with you!

You have been a constant for the bakery in the best possible way. I cannot explain how grateful I am to be from a small, rural, supportive little town.🩷

(I’ll be back Sept 19th for the Fall Festival!)
