📣 Important announcement! Please read if you shop The Grain Wagon!

Kind of a long post, but I’ll do my best to sum it up. I have quickly been learning that I am only one person, and I cannot keep up with all of the irons in my fire. I have a lot going on in my life and behind the scenes right now so I do ask for some patience and understanding ❤️

I have decided that not everything on my menu will be available Friday mornings. Some things will be available Friday and other things I will add throughout the day or even Saturday. I hope everyone is able to understand and know that I still plan on baking the things on my weekly menu, everything just might not be out altogether first thing Friday morning. 

For tomorrow, I do plan on having the s’mores campfire muffins, cowboy crunch, and possibly the Biscoff bars. I will update as I add things to the wagon, but I cannot commit to having the entire menu available every Friday morning.

As many of you know, I do run a daycare so my baking is primarily taking place after 5 PM. I want things to be fresh for you so that means Thursday nights are very long. 

Please bear with me as I am still getting in the groove of things, but as of right now, I plan to put things out on Friday and add throughout the weekend.

This last Monday was very good to me so I very well may continue doing Mondaysl! We shall see 😉

I also have a huggggggeeeeee announcement coming in the next couple of weeks!

A reminder for this weekend ➡️ l will not have any sourdough yet. If you watched my last video, you found out our new sourdough baker had a baby! We will hopefully be starting in the next few weeks 🙂 

Also no English muffins this week - my baker is on vacation!

Thank you Diana Scott for the taco rice recommendation!

I tried the viral TikTok taco rice, and thought I would share the recipe with you guys. I used my taco seasoning that’s available for purchase at the wagon 😉

This is seriously so easy, doesn’t take time at all, and delicious!

I used a cast iron pan, but you could also use a casserole dish. You need something oven safe.

🌮 Brown a pound of ground beef, I used Dalton Farms LLC. Drain if you need to. You can use shredded chicken too.

🌮 Add 2 packets of Knorr Mexican Rice

🌮 Top with enough chicken broth to cover the rice

🌮 Add a jar of your favorite salsa. Starting September 12, you will be able to snag one from Henrietta Produce & Pantry LLC.

🌮 Add a packet of taco seasoning, or if you’re using my homemade that sells on the wagon, 2 tablespoons.

🌮 Add a small bag of whatever cheese you like. I had about 6 ounces left of a Colby Jack block that I shredded and put on top.

🌮 Mix everything together really well and stick it in the oven at 350 for about 20 to 30 minutes or until the rice is your desired tenderness

🌮 Top with your favorite queso, I used the last of what I had from Sam’s Club. I put it back in the oven with the oven off to let the queso warm up.

🌮 I served it with sour cream and Quest protein chips, and it was delicious! So easy, one pan dinner, and it makes a lot! You could also put it over lettuce! 🥬

I decided to open today as I have a few too many extras from the weekend. All baked goods are 50% off today 🙂

They also freeze very well, though the powdered sugar may completely absorb on top.

Caramel apple crumb bars have been added to the wagon! Get them while you can, there’s only 20!

🍎 Fresh apples made into a homemade filling with the same shortbread bottom and topping as the peach bars. And of course, a caramel drizzle! 

Geary's Heritage Harvest also brought over 4 beautiful sunflower bouquets!  they are in a bucket on the gravel. Huge bouquets for just 💰5️⃣ each!
