ACE, our beloved milk chocolate lab, crossed the rainbow bridge this morning at 14 years old, leaving behind paw prints on our hearts that will never fade.
Ace was the kind of dog you never truly “just had.” He was family. Loyal to the core, stubborn as could be, and absolutely convinced he knew best most days. Bull headed? Without question. But beneath that tough determination was one of the gentlest souls we’ve ever known.
He had a tender heart, kind eyes, and a quiet way of loving that made people feel safe. Ace was there through the ordinary days and the hardest ones — always nearby, always watching over his people. Whether he was asking for snacks, laying at your feet, or simply keeping you company without needing a word, his presence filled our home in a way only a truly good dog can.
Getting old is a terrible reward for a life well lived, it just isn’t fair 😞
The house feels quieter now. The routine feels different. And the ache of missing him is proof of just how deeply he was loved.
Run free now, sweet Ace.
Chase the ball, find the sunshine, and rest easy knowing you were the best boy.
We will always love you ❤️
