I was asked if I could make a cake this weekend for a birthday. I’m not gonna lie I’m a bit nervous. I haven’t made a cake in a few years. So naturally I wanted to practice making one first. I forgot how much buttercream it takes to make a cake and I ran out🤦‍♀️ It didn’t stop Greg and Barrett from digging in though. They both have loved it.

Cupcakes I ended up making for church this morning. Obviously, I had to go with Barrett’s favorite chocolate mint, and then I had a few red velvet left and I topped those with yummy cream cheese buttercream😋🧁

Now I have to think about what I’m going to make for next Sunday.

A little extra baking today! 🍪💕

I had a little extra time after frosting my cupcakes, so I decided to whip up 2 dozen sugar cookies and finish them with my cherry almond buttercream.

A dozen will be making their way to church tomorrow, and the other dozen are staying right here at home! 😋

It’s time for the first Dessert of the Week from B’s Cupcakes & Treats! 🎉

Starting Monday, I’ll be offering one of our recent favorites:

🍫 Mint Cookie Cupcakes 🍪

These were a HUGE hit with the cross-country team, and Barrett has already told me I need to start selling them! 😂 So I figured they were the perfect choice for our first Dessert of the Week!

Chocolate cupcakes topped with mint buttercream and finished with a mint cookie. 💚

This afternoon Barrett has a follow up doctor’s appointment to check his ankle. His ankle is doing 100% better and he’s been able to practice with the team since Friday. He’s ready for his last meet on Saturday. Say a little prayer that everything goes smoothly at his appointment🤞🏻

We have been attending a new church now for 6 months. I just found out Sunday that they take volunteers to bring in baked good, fruits, etc for Sunday mornings. I signed up for this Sunday to bring a baked goodie. Barrett informed me what I he thinks I should make. He said it was a huge hit with the cross team, and he thinks others will love it too.❤️

Any guess on what I’ll be making?😋😋
