hey friends,
as some of you know i am participating in the boo bakery trail tour. if you are not familair what that is, i'll explain it.
myself along with 20 other cottage and home bakers are not only trying to promote our own, but eachothers small businesses as well as raise money for a very special girl.
who is this girl? her name is gracie! she is seven years old and she has suffered with heart issues her whole life. it has been said her heart looks like swiss cheese. she is to undergo surgery at the beginning of november. which is as scary as one can imagine. not only will she be having surgery, her dad just underwent heart surgery earlier this year. they are a strong family but the financial hardship is something nobody should have to deal with.
so as a community we are trying to raise money to go towards gracies medical bills. the problem with this is as excited as we all were for it all, we haven't raised too much as a group.
if you stop at any of the stands along the tour, we all have donation jars out. EVERY penny counts.
the weekend of 10/23-10/25 i am going to have 2 treats out (i'm not sure what they'll be yet), and the money from those will get donated along with all of your donations. along with a purchase of either of those treats, there will be tickets out that you can fill out to be entered into a giveaway (that also hasn't been determined yet).
