August felt like one foot still in summer and the other slowly stepping into a brand new season. 🌿☀️📚
We renewed our passports for an exciting adventure on the horizon ✈️, I received my new favorite half apron (it’s the little things 🤎), and our garden absolutely showed OFF. Baskets of veggies, homemade tomato sauce, fresh eggs from my SIL, and those beautiful last blooms reminding me to soak it all in before the season changes. 🍅🌸
Our days started finding their rhythm again too—getting back into school with our oldest, stepping into my little teacher era again with Pre-K for our youngest 🥹📚, consistently making time to move my body, and drinking approximately 847 cups of tea along the way. ☕️😂
And then there was a little bit of magic… catching our first monarch caterpillar and getting to watch the entire transformation until it finally spread its wings and flew away. 🐛🦋 Definitely one of those simple summer memories I hope we never forget.
Somewhere between motherhood, teaching, gardening and baking, I even managed to sneak away for a much-needed facial from a lovely friend—and whew, was it needed. 🤍
August was full, but it was the kind of full I’m learning to appreciate more and more. Full of things grown with our own hands. Full of little moments with my girls. Full of new routines, things to look forward to, and so many lovely bakes.
And through every season, this community continues to be woven into it all. Every order, porch pickup, kind word and familiar face allows me to keep doing something I truly love.
Summer, you’ve been so good to us. Now let’s see what this next season brings. 🍂🍞🤎
Stick around—there’s more to come. 🌾🌱
