I’ve gone back and forth about whether to say anything because I really don’t like bringing negativity onto this page. But after losing a very large order because of things that were said about me on Facebook, I feel like I need to say something.
My day job and Blended Bakery are two completely separate things.
I work hard at my job, and I work just as hard when I come home and step into my kitchen. Blended Bakery may be my side business, but I care about it deeply. Every order gets my time, attention, creativity, and honestly, a little piece of my heart.
I’m a mom, a coach’s wife, and I work full-time. During football and soccer season especially, I’m juggling a LOT. Most of the time, I’m figuring it all out and keeping everything moving on my own—and then somehow finding time to come home and make cookies. 😂
I’m not perfect, and I know not everyone will like me. That’s life. But I believe people should be able to form their own opinions based on their own experiences, not someone else’s personal feelings or version of a situation.
What hurts is that something completely separate from my bakery has now affected something I’ve worked really hard to build.
I’m not here to argue or name names. I’m simply asking that Blended Bakery be left out of things that have nothing to do with Blended Bakery.
If you’ve ordered from me, you know what kind of baker and business owner I am. If you haven’t, I hope you’ll give me the chance to show you.
I’ll keep working, being a mom, supporting my husband through football and soccer season, and putting my heart into this little business of mine.
Someone else’s opinion of me doesn’t get to define me or the business I’ve built. I’ll let my actions speak for themselves.
To everyone who continues to support Blended Bakery—thank you. Truly. 🩷
Now, back to what I actually came here to do…
make some darn good cookies. 🍪😂💕
