Our garden is expanding this year, and with it comes new flavor combinations! Over the winter, we spent time experimenting with new blends to add to our lineup, but our goal is always to grow as much of what we use as possible.
One of our newest creations is a smoked jalapeño salt. It’s perfect for adding a little kick to your cooking and makes an excellent cocktail rim! We tested several methods to find the right balance of heat and smoky flavor. While this batch isn’t from our garden just yet, it will be once our pepper plants start producing. We’ve planted three different varieties to bring even more depth of flavor. 🌶️
Next up is a brand new blend, Wild Goddess. It’s our take on the classic Green Goddess, made with wild garlic and wild onions we foraged right here on our farm, along with a few special twists for a fresh spin on a favorite. 🧅🧄🌿
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing y’all at the Spring Market on April 18th in Sulphur Springs! We’ll have an assortment of antiques, a limited supply of breads and baked goods, and a fresh batch of our smoked spices. We’ve had the smokers running nonstop! We’ll also have dish tallow soaps made from our homegrown cattle, plenty of farm-fresh eggs, and even smoked Himalayan salt grinders.
