Last Sunday, April 19, I had the honor of creating cookie bouquets for the Region 3 Kansas Teacher of the Year Awards Banquet. These bouquets served as both table centerpieces and gifts for the incredible nominees being celebrated. This was such a meaningful way to recognize fellow educators who make a difference every single day.

One of my favorite moments shared with me was seeing Dr. Randy Watson with his bouquet. As he prepares to step down after serving as KS Commissioner of Education since 2015, it felt especially meaningful to have my work be a small part of such a significant event.

Congratulations to all of the nominees. You are so deserving of the recognition! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your celebration.

This year when my principal asked me to make cookies for our staff at conference time again, I really struggled to top last year’s design (faces of our admin). I decided to let the students have a say and held a Cookie Design Contest! The winners would receive free cookies of each of the three winning designs!

It was difficult to choose the winners, but here they are! Thank you Makayla, Karielle, and Elsy!
