A bride had to wait 25 years for a tradition that normally happens on the 1 year anniversary.

My husband actually booked this order for a co-worker. The directions were "here is a picture of our wedding cake, can you replicate it?"

Only today during delivery do I hear that something happened to the cake after the wedding 25 years ago that this bride did not get to participate in the tradition of eating your cake on your one year anniversary. She said she has thought about it ever since. So for her 25th Anniversary I had the honor to re-create, based off a picture, the top tier of the cake so she could have this moment. Even down to the inside flavors.

I missed getting a picture of the flowers she had awaiting in the car to pop on top. But she gets her moment ❤️.

Let me tell you the story behind this order ❤️

These beauties 💐 are on their way to a wedding.

2+years ago a young lady asked me to make her wedding cake someday 👰‍♀ 🤵‍♂️. At the time there was no groom in sight and she was still in high school. I told her absolutely and to make sure to let me know when.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. I was booked for another wedding order for this weekend. I reached out to the bride to check in and she said they went another direction. Ok, no big deal, I will take a restful weekend.

Then, I get a message from the grandmother (a friend of mine) of the young lady who asked me to make her wedding cake 2+ years ago! She said the date and asked if I was available. My answer "I am now!" The Lord remembered my conversation with her all those years ago and helped me keep that promise to her ❤️ and I couldn't be more honored.

Congratulations to the bride and groom ❤️💐!
