❤️ HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE BLACKHAWK WALK 🖤
We’ve had a few families tell us Givebutter can be a little confusing when you first get started, so we’re making this as easy as possible!
The most important thing: START WITH OUR BLACKHAWK WALK LINK.

From there:
1️⃣ Click “Become a Fundraiser.”
Make sure you're starting from the Blackhawk Walk page linked above rather than trying to create a fundraiser directly through Givebutter.
2️⃣ Create your account.
Use your email address to create your Givebutter account.
3️⃣ Register your STUDENT as the fundraiser.
Your student's first and last name should be the display name on their fundraising page.
4️⃣ Choose your student's classroom team.
This is important! Selecting the correct classroom allows donations to count toward your student's classroom total and leaderboard. 🏆
5️⃣ Finish setting up the page.
6️⃣ SHARE, SHARE, SHARE! 📲
Send your student's fundraising page to grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors — whoever wants to support your Blackhawk!
❤️HAVE MORE THAN ONE BLACKHAWK?❤️
Givebutter requires a different email address for each student registration.
If you use Gmail, there's an easy trick! Add +your child's name before the @ symbol.
For example:
[email protected]
parent+[email protected]
parent+[email protected]
Givebutter recognizes these as different email addresses, but all of the messages still go to your regular Gmail inbox!
🤦♀️ ACCIDENTALLY PUT YOUR NAME INSTEAD OF YOUR STUDENT'S?
No worries! Open your Blackhawk Walk fundraising page and select:
Share & Manage → Edit Page → Display Name
Change the display name to your student's first and last name and save.

💵❤️ DON'T WANT TO USE GIVEBUTTER? NO PROBLEM!
Givebutter is NOT the only way to participate! Students can also collect cash or checks, or donations can be sent electronically:

IMPORTANT: When using Venmo or PayPal, please include your child's first and last name AND their teacher's name in the payment note so we can make sure the donation is credited to the correct student and classroom!
