I recently changed day jobs & it was probably the best decision I’ve made for myself since marrying my husband! Let me explain.
My heart was constantly in distress trying to fight against what I knew was the right thing to do & what I was being told to do. I knew the stress of trying to be successful in leadership wasn’t worth the battle of having my moral compass challenged, something that I had to go through Every. Single. Day.
It seeped into my personal life, losing sleep, literally losing hair, having permanent heartburn, always being exhausted, & never wanting to do anything at all. Extreme stress has a crazy effect on your body.
I told God I would only leave if something marked all my boxes. And what would you know, that perfect door opened.
I am too stubborn to give up on anything, so I’ve come to realize that maybe right now God needs me elsewhere in a different phase of life. Because guarding my heart, is what is most important. Everything else flows from it.
Basically, you can try and try and try to do it your way, but in the end God knows what you need. Our hardest battles are His to fight. And He will ALWAYS take care of you. ❤️
