A little flash back Friday story for how Blue Mountain Bakery came to be and how life, your dreams, focus, and your goals really start to align.
From 2014 to 2019 I had finally left my job as a restaurant chef and was growing a sales territory selling groceries to restaurants. During that time Swiftly Catered was a one man band personal chef service running out of my home. I was working around 16 hours a day most days.
I spent a lot of time in my car driving my sales route and needed as much daily motivation as I could to keep up with the grind. Mel Robbins was a daily fixture in the background with a list of other self help and motivational speakers.
In 2019, La Loba’s Bakery listed for sale literally the same day that I walked out of a warehouse for lease near Blue Mtn Beach trying to figure out if I could afford to build a catering kitchen. Within 72 hours I partnered up with a friend, worked out the loan options and started the plans to move Swiftly Catered into the bakery and quit my sales job.
Flash forward to the winter of 2020, I am on vacation and Mel’s Instagram story is of her in our bakery, picking out her favorite treats. I messaged her instantly, drove home early, met her for breakfast the next day and found out she owned a home near the bakery.
As both companies have now grown beyond my dreams, I am grateful for all the voices of encouragement that have been in the background along the way ♥️
