Hey everyone, we have some great news! For all those who have been asking for a vegetarian version of our sausage rolls.... they now exist, and they're even vegan! They are made with a combination of root vegetables, butternut squash, mushrooms, mixed nuts, beautiful spices and herbs, all encased in our puff pastry that is •also• vegan (betcha didn't know that part!). If you love the shiny golden surface that comes from brushing with a beaten egg, you can still do that if you like, or just leave them as is and bake according to the directions on the package.

Because they are different from the pork sausage rolls, we don't recommend serving them with mustard or HP sauce, as those can overpower the flavor of the vegan sausage. We do recommend serving a vegetarian brown gravy with the rolls, though - if you don't have a recipe for one, comment below with the word "gravy", and we'll send one to you!

Highland Games fans, we have some news.... due to a few issues that are happening all at once, we made the hard decision to temporarily bow out of the Pleasanton Highland Games this year (we will be back next year, though!). Between Dean's shoulder muscle injury, and the current inability to find workers to get ready for this show, we decided to take a break and focus on other things here at the shop. (We will continue the rest of our festival schedule, though.)

We are still continuing to make meat pies, scottish tablet, shortbread, and all the wonderful foods you love to buy from us! To help out those who seek us out at the Highland Games, and everyone else 😀, we are offering a 10% discount code good through September 6 for all the products we usually sell at the games, when you purchase $25 or more. Hi folks. We were broken into this morning at the shop along with 5 other businesses at Branham Plaza, and Dean injured himself a little while ago, so we're closed for the day so we can sort things out. Nothing was stolen, so we're good. It's just a tough way to start our week.
