Yesterday marked 18 years of operating Batter full time, and just over 20 years all in. Some days I’m not sure if I’m crazy or lucky to still be doing this for a living. From one of my first little mixers in SF (photo), to our current production kitchens in Berkeley, it’s been a wild ride. 15 years in SF and 3 years in Berkeley, where we’ve found a whole new community at

Big shoutout to all of our regular customers, and biggest thank you to my amazing tiny team. Batter would be nothing without you, especially these past three or so years I’ve had to step back from doing much production with the twins & knee surgery!

Hi friends! Two announcements - please read.

1. We’ll be putting our Friday Berkeley Kitchens pop up on hold until opens in a couple months, because, let’s be honest, there isn’t a ton of foot traffic around the building these days! For all you regulars, we know this is a bummer to hear. Please feel free to email in your orders, big or small to [email protected] by Thursday afternoons, and we are still happy to have baked goods available for you to pickup on Fridays!

2. We’ll be filling it at Kensington Farmers Market this Sunday, Jan 18, so you can get your scone/muffin/cookie fix!!
