Dear Mission community, we thank you for your support of our small business at 18th Street since we opened back in 2020. After 6 years (including the pandemic!), our lease is up.

We love our 18th Street space, but unfortunately the space has never been able to support the original vision, due to essential internal structural improvements needed.

With mixed emotion we announce that as of tomorrow, we will close our 18th St shop and move all operations to our 455 Carolina Street location in Potrero Hill.

We thought we would have time to have a big final retail day to say goodbye but things moved faster than we expected.

We thank all our loyal Mission customers, community partners and organizations. We appreciate you all and are so grateful to have been able to serve you.

It’s not over, it’s a new sweet chapter.

Please continuing supporting our independent, Mexican/Filipina owned business by visiting us at our 455 Carolina Street location. We are open Wed - Sun and we hope to see you tomorrow.

FYI, we may be slow to answer any DMs/emails through the end of the month.

Huge ginormous thank you to V , the president of the Le Dix-Sept fan club and my BFF who has been coordinating and organizing every part of the move. I am so lucky to have this angel in my life.

At Le Dix-Sept, we celebrate all things pastry, specialty coffee/matcha and the 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈community we are blessed to be in and a part of. We first put up this huge flag in our alcove a few years ago for Pride month. We had planned to keep it up through the summer and then place it inside because we had used the outside space to celebrate and mark other important events to us throughout the year like dia de Los Mu***os, Valentine’s Day. But when summer was coming to an end, a customer from out of town came in. I asked how he found us and he said that he wasn’t from the city but was walking around not sure where to go for coffee and saw the flag and he knew it was a space he would be safe in. We never took it down once we put it up.

Flags are important signs that someone may or may not be welcomed. As a woman of color, when I walk into a space, I’m looking around to make sure it’s a space that I’m welcomed and safe and I’ve always wanted to create that with Le Dix-Sept. In a time of turmoil and uncertainty, we have to look to our neighbors and community and see who is supporting what and who is aligned with welcoming values. We would love to welcome you all into you our 18th Street shop or Carolina Street shop today 🩷🩷🩷🙋🏽‍♀️

Beauties in natural light. Most pastry folks work in artificial lit basements, the far corners of too hot kitchens, as they are often a last thought on menus so to work in natural light or with access to, was essential when building my own kitchen. It comes with its own set of issues but seeing daylight during long shifts in the industry makes a world of difference.

As we go into longer days of light, our production space receives the most amazing light between 2p - 4:30p depending on what spring month we are in. Photos get incredible and work must shift earlier and earlier so that dough doesn’t heat up too much. It’s a lovely balance.
