Okay friends, now that these kiddos are 🖍️ 📚back to school 📓✏️ I want to give them some fun homework to beat those “summer is really over” blues! So now.. some *FUN* homework.

Here is a blank cake template, print it out (if you don’t have a printer you can come by my home and get a copy or my husband will have some with him at his office on RAFB). I want them to show us their dream cake 🍰 Give them some crayons, markers, colored pencils or a pencil and let them go for it. Draw sprinkles, add their favorite animal, use their favorite colors, write their name, whatever THEY think belongs on their dream cake.

And parents… HANDS OFF! 🙈🚫 This one is all them! No printed pictures, stickers, digital or AI designs and no parental help with the actual cake design. I want to see the funny, wonky, colorful cakes that come straight from their little brains. 🧑🏻‍🎨 Once everyone’s designs are turned in, I’ll randomly draw one and I’m going to recreate that kiddos dream design as a REAL cake for FREE! 😍🎂

This isn’t an art contest and the “best” drawing doesn’t win. Every kiddo who turns in a design has the same chance of being picked. I just want them to have fun and then see how close I can get to bringing one of their creations to life!

🚨All submissions due by: September 18th, 2026 🗓️ I am so excited! I cannot wait to see what they come up with. 🎉🥰

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to comment or reach out! The submissions can be turned in, in person to myself or my husband at RAFB *OR* you can take a very clear picture, crop it to ensure the picture is flat cropped properly to only show the picture and send it to me via messenger. I feel like this cake took me straight back to childhood!

That’s exactly what Luke’s mom wanted because she remembers her mom making cakes that way when she was growing up. So Spot got the full old-school star-tip treatment for Luke’s 2nd birthday. 🐾🎈

I love that something as simple as a cake can bring back those memories. ❤️💛💚💙
