💛 Meet the Person Behind Bisket Bakes 💛
Hi friends! I’m Abi, the owner, baker, canner, market vendor, and occasional chaos coordinator behind Bisket Bakes.
When I’m not baking sourdough or filling jars with homemade goodies, I’m a Store Manager at Starbucks, usually running on coffee, audiobooks, and pure determination.
Outside of the kitchen, you’ll usually find me curled up with a good romantasy book, exploring trails and going mudding with my boyfriend, Quinton, or soaking up everything I love about fall—sweaters, warm colors, and a cozy drink in hand. I’m also a firm believer that cheesy pasta can fix just about any bad day.
Audiobooks are the soundtrack to most of my baking days, and while this may sound strange coming from someone who owns a baking business, I absolutely hate making cookies.
The real star of Bisket Bakes is our dog, Bisket, the face of the brand. (Even though we make treats for people) She’s a 90-pound Shepadoodle, a ball of endless energy, and the inspiration behind our business name. We also have a rescue cat named Nala who was once a little dumpster kitty and now runs the house.
Bisket Bakes actually started because Quinton convinced me to start selling the things I was already making at home. The very first thing I ever sold was a cheddar jalapeño sourdough loaf.
People often ask why I keep doing this when life gets busy. The answer is simple: it’s rewarding, and it’s something that’s completely mine.
More than anything, I hope when you buy from Bisket Bakes you can feel the care that went into it. In a world where everything feels rushed, I think there’s something special about slowing down and enjoying something homemade. Every loaf, jar, and treat is made with that in mind.
Thank you for supporting this little dream of mine. ❤️
