Day 8 of Wasting Sourdough Is a Sin is here, and today we’re going full bakery-fantasy: Almond Croissant French Toast! 🥐
This one tastes like a cozy Paris café… made with leftover Diablo Dough sourdough.
I soaked thick slices in an almond-vanilla custard, pan-fried them until golden, and topped everything with crushed almonds, powdered sugar, and a sweet drizzle.
It’s rich, fragrant, and honestly might be one of the prettiest French toasts of the whole series so far. 😍
Recipe is now up on the website — perfect for holiday brunches or treating yourself on a chilly morning.

Gingerbread French Toast — made with my homemade gingerbread sourdough — fills the whole kitchen with warm spices, buttery edges, and that magical December aroma we all love.
It’s cozy, simple, and absolutely perfect for a festive weekend breakfast.

Day 6 of my Stale Sourdough Redemption series is officially live, and this one is pure comfort food.
Today’s flavor is Coffee Cake French Toast, made with cinnamon-sugar swirl sourdough and topped with a buttery crumble that tastes just like warm coffee cake straight from the oven. ☕
The cinnamon, brown sugar, and soft custardy texture make this feel nostalgic, cozy, and perfect for a holiday morning. And if you have leftover coffee cake crumble? Even better — it caramelizes beautifully on top.
This recipe is now up on the blog (link in the comments!) if you want to make something sweet, warm, and completely irresistible.
Day 7 is coming tomorrow, and I can’t wait — this series just keeps getting better.
