The word is out. 🤍
One of the biggest things we’ve been waiting to share is officially happening: Hopscotch is launching an after-school entrepreneurship program at Corwin International Magnet School.
This is not a pretend business project. Students will be selling real products, learning real sales skills, working directly with customers, and putting real money back into their own pockets.
The goal is bigger than cookies.
We want to change the way young people see money before fear, scarcity, or someone else’s definition of what is possible becomes their own. We want them to learn that they can create value, make smart decisions, recover from setbacks, and build opportunities for themselves.
Students don’t need another textbook. They need a sandbox.
A place to learn by doing. To get uncomfortable. To practice sales. To talk to people. To build confidence. And to develop skills they can carry into whatever career or business comes next.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped us get this program off the ground, and to Sunflower Bank for partnering with us to provide our young cookie entrepreneurs with their own branded shirts.
So if you see these students out in the community, show up for them. Buy a box. Ask them questions. Be patient while they learn. Give them the chance to practice.
We’ll be sharing more of their journey as we go.
This is what building something bigger than a bakery looks like.
