🎉 Farmer’s Market kicks off this Saturday!

👨🏼‍🌾 The Princeton Farmers Market will kick off the 2026 season beginning on Saturday, May 30th at Soldiers & Sailors Park! Join us every Saturday through October 31st from 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM for one of Princeton’s favorite seasonal traditions.

This year brings NEW vendors, fresh finds, handmade treasures, baked goodies, farm-fresh produce, yoga in the park with Arukah Institute of Healing, and so much more! We are ecstatic to welcome everyone back for another amazing season!

And don’t let Mother Nature fool you… if the weather doesn’t cooperate, the market WILL move indoors to the Prouty-Zearing Community Building because farmers market season waits for no one!

Y’all ever want the cookie dough without the actual cookie? 🙋🏻‍♀️ Yep me too.

If you’re looking for a delicious no bake treat, check out this browned butter cookie dough.

(And if you’re feeling really fancy… you can use mini chocolate chips & chopped pecans in the dough, scoop it into balls, toss into the freezer for a bit and then dip them in melted Ghirardelli chocolate. And voila! You just made chocolate chip pecan cookie dough truffles 😉 )

Browned Butter Edible Cookie Dough:
1 c butter, browned (see below, I use salted butter)
1 1/4 c lightly packed brown sugar
1/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda (yes i know we aren’t baking this dough, but it adds to the flavor)
1 2/3 c heat treated flour (see below)
1 c mix ins (chocolate chips, M&m’s, nuts, etc)

Add your butter to a sauce pan and place over medium high heat. Stir occasionally until butter is amber in color and you have some browned bits in the bottom of the pan. Mine took about 6-7 minutes roughly. Pour the hot butter into a bowl, making sure to scrape all the browned goodness from the pan. Place the bowl in the fridge or freezer to let it set up. You don’t want the butter hard, but like a room temp softened butter consistency.

While the butter is cooling, heat treat your flour. Spread flour onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 oven for about 5-6 minutes. Alternately, you can also put flour into a microwave bowl & microwave for 45 seconds, stir, then another 45 seconds. Ideally, we are trying to get the flour to 160 degrees to kill any bacteria. If you use the oven method, I’ve found the flour doesn’t clump; if you use the microwave method use a whisk or sifter to get the lumps out of your cooled flour.

Once butter is cooled, cream it together with the sugars, vanilla and salt. Then add baking soda & flour. Stir well to combine. Add in your choice of mix ins (and feel free to measure with your heart 😆). NOTE: If your dough is too thick, add a tablespoon or two of milk to it.

Refrigerate any leftovers (I mean, is there even any leftovers? This is sooo good!)

Tomorrow is the day! Saturday, April 25 from 11:00-2:00, I will be at True Leaves Bookshop celebrating Independent Bookstore Day! I’ll have sugar cookie dippers, half baked chocolate chip cookies AND loaded peanut butter cookie cakes! (Yes, these are the same ones from Valentine’s Day that sold out in minutes!)
Swing by early for the best selection of sweet treats an grab a new book too!

🚨 Teacher’s Appreciation & Mother’s Day cookies are listed below 👇🏼

Y’all… these are so stinkin’ cute! I was praying they’d turn out cute… and they actually turned out cuter than I expected. 😉

*PLEASE read through everything as I have a few different options for the sets

TEACHER APPRECIATION:
Pick up will be Sunday, May 3rd, 4:00-5:00 at the Princeton Library. (Teacher appreciation week begins May 4th)

Option #1: Target Set
2 decorated sugar cookies (3”-3.5” in size) in a Bullseye cup. Bullseye the dog is wearing an apple headband & comes with a Target apple cookie too. Tied up with ribbon and a tag that reads”I hit the Bullseye with you as my teacher. Thanks for all you do” **option to add a Target gift card in any denomination**
$10 (plus cost of gift card if adding one)

Option #2: Reese’s cookie cake
4” individual Reese’s peanut butter cookie cake (filled with milk chocolate chip, peanut butter chips & chopped Reese’s cups) then topped with a peanut butter buttercream & more chopped Reese’s. Will come in a box with a bow and tag that reads “I really app-REESE’S-iate all you do”
$6 each

MOTHER’S DAY:
Pick up will be Thursday, May 7th from 5:00-6:00 at the Princeton Library.

Target cookie set:
1 large decorated Bullseye the dog sugar cookie (5” in size) and 2 small bullseye cookie (3” in size), tied up with ribbon in an adorable plastic, mini Target shopping basket. Choice of tags:
1. Thanks for keeping me on Target, Mom!
2. I hit the Bulleyes with you as my grandma!
**option to add a Target gift card in any denomination**
$20 per set (plus gift card cost if adding one)

📣 Mark those calendars! 🗓️

I’ll be at our favorite local book store, True Leaves, this Saturday, from 11-2, with some sweet treats! We’re celebrating Independent Bookstore Day!

True Leaves is located right around the circle at 15 Park Ave West. If you’re a local Princetonian, you’ll know the building as the old library (I remember walking in there as a kid to grab books like it was yesterday). If you’ve never been in True Leaves, this is your chance to check it out! They have a fabulous selection of books for all ages and have done an amazing job of updating the space, yet keeping the original architecture too.

Now speaking of treats… I have a couple items that I am making for sure. But do y’all have any requests? Anything that you’re craving from the past markets? 🤔 Let me know below 👇🏼
