Two weeks from today will be December 20th, the last time we'll make them before Christmas. If you want these beauties on Christmas morning, place your orders now! They freeze very nicely so you can pull them out on Christmas Eve to thaw for the next morning.

Here's to taking a deep breath before the busy holiday week begins.
Beginning tomorrow, the bakery will be a busy, bustling place. The pre-orders have been rolling in for a week (there is still time to place your order if you call it in by 6 p.m. Monday), the bread and pastry plans have been worked out to accommodate the influx of Thanksgiving shoppers, and our staff is gearing up to greet you.
We are open this week Monday-Wednesday 8-6; closed Thanksgiving and Black Friday, and open again Saturday, November 25th 8-5. Let's do this!

Here's your reminder to remember the nuts this holiday season.
Our tasty snack nuts make a wonderful hostess gift, can be used as a bribe, and are a tasty game day or cocktail hour snack. Stuff them into stockings, tuck them into gift bags, leave them as a secret Santa gift, bless a teacher or coach, thank a babysitter or mail carrier, use them on your charcuterie boards, toss them in a salad.

⏰Not to alarm you or anything, but Thanksgiving is only a week from this Thursday. (Yeah...that's coming up quickly!) Today is a good day to figure out all the goodies you'll need to feed the fam, and give us a jingle this week to place your pre-order. The day before Thanksgiving is pretty nuts around here (true for anywhere that sells food), so placing your pre-order helps us get you exactly what you want for the long holiday weekend with less stress for you.
Want Cinnamon Rolls? We'll have them ready on Wednesday, and they'll make a wonderful weekend treat. Be sure to let us know how many you'd like when you place your order this week.
We'll also have dinner rolls, Cinnamon Crumb Coffee Cake, Danish, Cookies, Muffins, Shortbread, Croissants, Scones, and don't forget the Stollen!

Pan Seared Oatmeal with local apples and maple syrup sauteed in butter, topped with a dollop of vanilla Greek yogurt and a flourish of Addictive Granola is a great way to celebrate .
If you've not yet tried Fried Oatmeal, you simply must! It's a great way to use up leftover oatmeal, and did you know that cold oatmeal is a great source of resistant starch? (Look it up, it's healthy!)
*Simply refrigerate your cooked old fashioned or steel cut oatmeal overnight.
*In the morning, cut it into squares or triangles and set it aside.
*In a cast iron skillet, melt some butter, add a sliced apple or two, drizzle generously with maple syrup, add cinnamon and cook until the apples are softened and the maple syrup is reduced a little bit.
*Meanwhile, in another skillet, melt another pat of butter and add your cold, sliced oatmeal. Sear each side nicely to warm it through.
*Then place the warm oatmeal in a bowl, top with the sauteed apples, add a hearty dollop of vanilla Greek yogurt, and finish with a generous sprinkle of Addictive Granola for crunch.

Our staff is working hard to crank out the goodies for this very busy week. We thank you for your support, love, and patience. At Breadworks you won't find anything mass-produced, made from a mix, or trucked in from a commissary. It's the real deal, like what you'd make if you were making it at home, from scratch, with only the best ingredients and zero shortcuts. (Except you don't have to, because we're here!) Though we are making and baking more of everything this week to accommodate the swell of visitors and summer residents who will be here for the busiest time of the year, planning ahead on your part is the best bet for getting exactly what you want with very little stress.
