Apparently, fall looks a little different around here. 🍂🐿️
Some people know fall has arrived when the pumpkin spice comes back.
Me? Apparently I know it’s fall when a baby animal finds me and decides, **“Yep. This lady will do.”** 😂
In December 2024, it was a baby squirrel at the Christmas market.

Today, this tiny squirrel came over, **climbed my leg**, and then happily let me hold him like we had an appointment I somehow forgot about. 🐿️🤎

Thankfully, a wildlife rehabber is coming to make sure our newest little visitor gets exactly the care he needs.

At this point, I’m starting to think fall doesn’t bring me pumpkins.

**It brings me babies.** 😂🍁

Please note: Leilani’s Sweetery is still a bakery and has NOT officially expanded into wildlife rescue.

🌺 **A Little Sunday Market Update**

We have an important change to share with our Sunday market friends.

Going forward, Leilani’s Sweetery will only be able to attend our current Sunday market **two Sundays each month**. We know many of you are used to finding us there every week, so we wanted to make sure you knew before making your Sunday plans!

While we’re a little sad that our routine is changing, it also leaves us with a question we’d love YOUR help answering:

**Where should we bring the bakery next?** 🍪🌺

We’re looking at new markets, community events, neighborhood pop-ups and other places where you’d love to find Leilani’s. If there’s a market or location you think we should check out, please tell us in the comments!

We’re also exploring something a little different…

🏠🍪 **Leilani’s cookie decorating parties at your home!**

Gather your favorite people, and we bring the cookies, icing, sprinkles and decorating fun to you. Girls’ nights, birthdays, neighborhood get-togethers, homeschool groups, holiday parties… we think there could be something really fun here.

This isn't goodbye to our Sunday market-we will still be popping up there occasionally. It just means you may start finding a little more Leilani’s Sweetery in some new places, too. ❤️

We just had the most affectionate amazing visitor! Please meet Odin! He is currently available for adoption at Flagler Humane Society (fees waived through Monday). He loves people and great with kids plus he comes with the benefit of being a well behaved boy!

🍂 WE’RE BACK… and we brought FALL with us! 🍎🎃

After an unexpected weekend away, the Leilani’s Sweetery crew is back at the markets this weekend and apparently fall decided to come along for the ride. 🤎

The bakery has officially entered its cozy season, which means pumpkin, apple, warm spices, and all those flavors that make us pretend Florida isn’t still approximately 900 degrees outside. 😂☀️🍂

We’ve missed our market friends, and we cannot WAIT to see you this weekend!

A huge **THANK YOU** to everyone who sent messages, checked in, and sent well wishes our way this past week.

Apparently, all those good thoughts worked their magic because our kiddo is on the mend and **we’ll be back at the market this weekend!** 🎉

We’ve missed our market family, our fellow vendors, and all of your familiar faces, and we’re so excited to be back amongst our friends again. 🥰

Now it’s time to get back in the kitchen and make up for lost time. 🍪🌺

Well friends… **when it rains, it pours — and we have another fallen baker.** 😅❤️‍🩹

Our market helper / baker / heavy-lifter / resident teenager is in the hospital having an emergency appendectomy, so **Leilani’s Sweetery will not be at our markets this weekend.**

We hate missing a market (and we’ll miss seeing all of you!), but cookies can wait. **Health and family always come first.** ❤️

We’re hoping for an easy surgery, a quick recovery, and a much less exciting week ahead. 😂

Thank you for always giving our little bakery so much grace and understanding. We’ll see you soon! 🌺
