Happy Father's day to all the dads out there!! I hope you all enjoy your day!

Special happy father's day to these 2 guys 💗 theyre both the best in so many ways!

My dad is the one who taught me how to make bread. He made all the dough for my mom's business. By hand in huge bowls. Hed get home from work, eat dinner with us, and then get to it. I remember him showing me how yeast was supposed to look, how dough is supposed to feel, what ingredients are going to add taste, and so much more of this art. And then on weekends we would bake bread recipes from my Laura Ingalls or American Girl cookbooks. Using different flours and techniques that were described. Even when they flopped we'd sit down and still eat it 🤣

This morning I have plain (SOLD) and jalapeño cheddar (SOLD) loaves as well as an order of savory mix (2 everything and 2 asiago parmesean) bagels (SOLD) and blueberry bagels (SOLD). Message me to claim before 9am today Saturday June 20th or i will set out in the hutch with price on it for grabs. Where our strawberries are coming from this year for strawberry rolls 😋 🍓 I love working with people who are passionate about what they do! Don't worry! We snagged the last of them from the farmers market on Friday 🤣🙌

I listed a new item on my site last week, did you see it? No not the strawberries. Its called Vita Bella. Its a "pay it forward" loaf. Description reads:

A donation loaf to people in need through various community projects. This is made less for cost through donation of time, basic packaging without labels, and not on a time schedule. Pending volume, donations will be made in a large batch to be dropped off all at once when a certain amount purchased is reached. Named from my Italian roots and the Italian practice of paying it forward we can all choose to "live beautifully" and give someone else a taste of "the good life". Thank you for love and generosity!

I donate already myself weekly to local food pantries and donate bread products at large randomly but wanted to extend the chance to others for greater impact. My idea behind this little adventure was to never expand my bank account but expand the table. To local small businesses to those in need. We all can eat.

Fun story! I met the owners of The Down-Leau while doing a pop up 2 years ago at Simply B Candle Co. and my sweet little candle making friend bought my last loaf ❤️ all sold out! Thanks for showing up today everyone!!

When you come to pick up your order tomorrow please pardon our dust! I.T. Masonry is doing an amazing job giving our home a face-lift! When we bought our house 7 years ago we loved the location, layout, good bones, and the tree on the side of our house. Weve completely remodeled the inside and now its the outsides turn! I cant wait for you to see what dream slowly unfolds as you pick up orders week by week ❤️

Strawberry 🍓 lemonade 😋 makes its debut this week! This will be year 3 of me using fresh local strawberries to wrap up into my sourdough sweet dough, finished with a lemon glaze 🍋. These have been one of the best selling rolls we have done! Have you had them?!
I really think organic local strawberries is the key to how good they are. You cant beat the sweet summer floral scent of the fresh berries and knowing they come from great farming practices right here in the driftless region makes it that much sweeter! We love supporting local 💜
