Cake makes everything better… but ghosting your deposit doesn’t.

Hold tight... this is a long one.

I had to cancel 5 custom orders this week alone! Yes, FIVE! Why? Because of UNPAID DEPOSITS.

Here’s how that played out:

3 people were texted AND emailed reminders. Total radio silence. (And yes, my software shows me when invoices are opened and viewed, so let's not play the "I never got it" game.)

1 person promised, "I’ll pay it today!" ...that was 3 days ago.

1 person asked for an extension. I granted it out of good faith, and still nothing.

Every single one of those orders took real time to quote, plan, and schedule. More importantly, other paying clients were turned away because those spots were marked as "reserved."

Moving forward: If your deposit isn't paid by the deadline, your order is canceled.

This is your celebration, not ours. Our booking system automatically sends out reminder notices, so after that: no chasing, no manual follow-ups, and no exceptions. If your spot gets released and you suddenly remember you still need a cake, it will require a rush fee to reinstate—ONLY if the calendar still allows it.

Please support small businesses by respecting our time, just like you would any other professional service! Massive love and gratitude to the 99% of you who make this job so sweet. We truly appreciate you, because you allow us to pour our full time, talent, and energy into your orders.
