Hello community,
This must be said. We are absolutely disheartened to get reviews like this. Reviews that have nothing to do with our product or hard work at all, but instead are truly just words of entitlement. & if you agree with sentiments like these on bashing a small business because they don’t or can’t cater to your every need when you want them to then you are 100% a part of the problem. We work so hard to make this community happy, and put so much love, effort and time into what we make, but people don’t understand what one “ bad” review or comment like this can do/does to a small business, or maybe they just dont care. We cannot be open 7 days a week as it absolutely is not feasible with how backbreaking and exhausting commercial baking is, and we would hope our community would understand and appreciate the need to take time off, but instead the growing sense of entitlement to our time and what we do has become discouraging and unfortunately is taking its toll on our bakers and cake decorators. We need the community to understand that we are NOT a chain restaurant or grocery store! We understand that the ability to get practically anything you want at any given time at chain restaurants/grocery/online stores has warped peoples idea of what a true scratchmade family run bakery can do at a given time, but we can’t do it all, let alone instantaneously.
With that being said… please remember that we are all adults and waiting your turn in line (whether inside the lobby or drive thru) is something we learn as children. We unfortunately have had an uptick of customers complain and get irrate with or yell at staff for the wait time or long lines. Need we remind you that you are not more important than anyone else who comes in before you and waits their turn just as you must? The lack of planning or time management is not our staffs fault and respect to our staff is a nonnegotiable or you will be asked to leave our establishment. When packaging large orders such as dozens of donuts, making drinks, and/or heating up sandwiches of course it takes time, but we pride ourselves on making the experience for every customer feel like they are welcome and wanted in our establishment. We are not a fast food chain (stop treating us as such!) where we rush our customers to order then push them out the door. We want the bakery to feel like a home away from home and a place you can come to get a good bite to eat and relax!
We do our very best and want to continue serving our community with the love and care that’s been in our family for generations. We are only human and would appreciate it if you could treat our staff, cake decorators, and bakers as such ❤️
