We are a custom bakery located in the heart of downtown Newton, NC. Carpe Crustum, or ‘Seize the Pastry’

We specialize in custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cheesecakes , and many other sweet pastries that we make fresh daily from scratch.

Happy Tuesday y’all!! I forgot to post flavors last week so I’m on top of it now! Cupcake flavors are Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, Turtle, and Italian Cream. They’re all yummy so stop by and grab one!

Cake post for the week!! Wow! Sometimes you don’t realize what you accomplished until you look back! When I first opened I prayed to get this many orders. And here we are almost 4 years later, booking out weeks, and keeping a full schedule. A big thank you to the team that makes this happen every week!! I know I’ve said it before, but I couldn’t do this without them!!!!! Blessed is an understatement! 🙏🏻❤️

Cakes from this last week for y’all!! So blessed to be part of it all for you but not just for the cakes. Had a few very touching moments connecting with these cake recipients when they picked up or we dropped off. I used to be slightly introverted when it came to the finished products, but now I love seeing the smiles we create with the ingredients, the time, and love we put into all our custom orders!!

It’s late but Happy Tuesday y’all!! Cupcake flavors are fall favorites from last year except the newcomer!! Restaurant week (9/29-10/6) meant stepping out of our comfort zone and featuring a local farmer you wouldn’t expect in a bakery!! This weeks’ featured cupcake is the Dill Pickle from Iya Terra!! I’ve always wanted to try this (I love anything pickled) but I wasn’t sure this was going to work in this way, but we were all pleasantly surprised on the taste test!! If you’re brave enough to try it we are donating 15% of sales from the feature to the downtownnewtonfarmersmarket!! Other flavors are Apple Butter, Chocolate Blackberry, and Pumpkin!! Come be brave this week!!! 🥒🫙😋

Happy Friday y’all!! We made Dolly’s favorite desserts for the Dolly Crawl in Visit Downtown Newton, NC today from 5-9. Fresh made Peanut Butter Pie and Banana Puddings are all ready for your sweet fix when you’re out and about enjoying all the participating businesses!!

Happy Tuesday y’all!! And welcome to fall! Cupcake flavors this week are Tres Leches, Maple Bourbon Pecan, Oreo Delight, and Biscoff Cookie Butter. We have the cases stocked up with all the favorites. We’re bringing out fall flavors including Pumpkin Rolls!!

Wrapped up another crazy week here!! I personally cannot remember baking this many cakes in one week…EVER! If I included the sheet cakes, smash cakes, and wholesale cakes I didn’t get pictures of to post we had 102 individual pans baked. And my amazing team still managed to keep the front stocked and running with other orders also. I am beyond blessed!!!! Love them and love y’all!! Bring on the cooler weather! It’s been way too hot in the kitchen with all that baking! 🥵
