Senior Doriz Yari discusses the ways to go further in our community with Laudato Si. Some simple ways to engage:

⭐️Make changes institutionally at here at Manhattan College and at your home parishes!

⭐️Support local efforts to solve environmental problems.

⭐️Contact your members of Congress to share Pope Francis’ message and urge action to address climate change.

Join us tomorrow at 1pm on the Quad for a celebration concluding our Laudato Si week!

Join our Chaplain Fr Thomas Franks today in Prayer! This prayer was written by Pope Francis, as an end to his papal encyclical on the environment “Laudato Si”.

Let us pray together for a change in our hearts so we may compassionately work together for change!

Join Junior Melannie Estrella as she outlines some of the major themes of Laudato Si, as we learn about the encyclical together!

These these include:
⭐️Call to Solidarity
⭐️Care for All of God’s Creation
⭐️Climate Change’s Impact on the Poor

Lasallian Lenten Lights: March 7th, 2021

Join CMSA every Sunday in March for a weekly online prayer and Lenten reflection.

This week Reba Thomas and Allison Hickey, Class of 2019, reflect on Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan Woman at the Well. Comparing the experience of the marginalized in Jesus' time and our own time, Allison and Reba imagine what the Kingdom of God might be like. The reflection questions they pose this week are:

How do I spend my time and money and energy? Do these things bring me lasting satisfaction or temporary pleasure?

When have you learned from someone that you would not necessarily expected to learn from?

Special thanks to tracks provided by Andy Bauer, Director of Manhattan College Music Ministry, and to Fr Thomas Franks, for our weekly prayer.

"In addition to the complicity of Mr. Trump’s unwavering allies, all Christians are left to reckon with the fact that the name of Jesus and the warrant of the Gospel have been publicly invoked by those defending not only Mr. Trump himself but also his cynical, destructive attempts to reverse the clear results of the presidential election. The harm to the credibility of the Christian witness is deep and will be long-lasting. Christian leaders, the U.S. Catholic bishops among them, must clearly condemn this misuse of faith. And all Christians should repent for the ways that we have allowed the symbols of the Christian faith to be drafted into Mr. Trump’s service."
