For anybody that doesn't already know, I've been completely obsessed with monarchs this summer. And I do mean OBSESSED. I have a pollinator garden that I registered with Monarch Watch and have had TONS of monarch eggs and caterpillars. I've been lucky enough to have three fat cats do their magic right under my old flower box! To see it all happen in real life is absolutely amazing and I feel so fortunate.

This is a video of my last cat of the season. My grandson named it Cookie...how appropriate 😁
Cookie just molted for the last time literally 45 minutes ago. She'll turn into a bunch of goop in the chrysalis and in about 14 days from now will emerge a beautiful butterfly (hopefully) and make her way to ol' Mexico! She's part of the 'Super Generation' of monarchs that make the long journey to spend winter in the warm weather.
It's really incredible how it all happens. ❤️
I can't wait til next summer!!

** oh, and I don't know if she's really a she...I won't find out til she emerges a butterfly! 😁
