🍪 It all started with a classic chocolate chip cookie.

When I first started baking, I believed that if I could master one really great chocolate chip cookie—made with the best ingredients and lots of attention to detail—the rest would follow. It took plenty of trial and error (and maybe a few extra pounds 😬), but eventually I created a recipe I was truly proud of.

Today, I’ve made more than 150 different cookie varieties, and nearly every one of them can be traced back to that original chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Over the years, I’ve had moments of self-doubt and wondered if I should change it. But I always come back to the same thought: that recipe is what helped me turn my dream of owning my own bakery into a reality.

If you’re thinking about starting a bakery—or any business—my advice is simple: find the one thing you can do exceptionally well. Master it. Build your confidence in it. Then keep going. The rest will follow. ❤️🍪❤️
