How can we serve you better?
Some days in small business feel especially heavy, and today is one of those days. We wanted to share our hearts honestly and transparently with the community we love so much.
At Oflow, we strive to serve every customer with excellence, kindness, and integrity. We also recognize that trust is something earned over time, and when misunderstandings happen, we want to approach them with humility, accountability, and grace.
Last Saturday, we received a 1-star review from a customer who believed we were open and ready to serve before our regular operating hours. Earlier that morning, we had opened our doors at 6:30am specificMurfreesboro Saturday Marketay Market vendors to access our restrooms since the courthouse facilities were unavailable. One of our baristas took accountability for how communication may have come across during the interaction, and we appreciated her willingness to reflect and grow. We also personally reached out to apologize for the confusion.
Today brought another difficult situation regarding a High Tea reservation payment. Because we’ve previously experienced reversed charges through certain payment methods after reservations were made, we had to request a different form of payment for protection of our small business. Although the customer was fully refunded immediately, the interaction ended with hurtful accusations that deeply affected our hearts.
Moments like these can be discouraging. Running a small business is not always easy, and behind every coffee, pastry, event, and social media post are real people doing their very best.
But through it all, we are reminded why we opened Oflow in the first place. It was never simply about selling pastries or coffee. Our desire has always been to create a place of warmth, community, hospitality, and faith — a place where people feel seen, welcomed, and loved.
We are incredibly grateful for the many customers who continue to support, encourage, pray for, and trust us every single day. Your kindness carries us more than you know. One difficult moment will never outweigh the countless blessings this community has given us.
With that said, Sally from marketing will be taking a short social media break to celebrate her children finishing another school year and moving on to the next grade. Thank you for always supporting not just our business, but our families as well.
We love this community deeply.
Have a blessed day. 🤍
