What began as an overcast morning cleared to a beautiful day, perfect for a drive over to Sequim and a visit to some of the town’s lavender farms. With around 25 lavender farms, Sequim has to be the best-smelling town in Washington 😂😂😂😂

Getting settled and learning my way around the peninsula. The weekly farmers market is right down the hill from my house. This week’s haul: gorgeous flowers (there are two flower farmers at the market, so I’ll have flowers in the house all summer), a sourdough loaf, yummy orange and currant scone, bok choy and asparagus, and cider from Finn River Cidery over in Chimacum. Planning a visit to their cidery soon! I’m getting a little itchy to bake, so stay tuned!
