Remember, some of the roads around the Montgomery Curb Market will be closed or partially blocked beginning next week to accommodate the parking deck construction next door. That should absolutely NOT prevent you from coming into the market. We are staying open the entire time the construction is going. Follow the detour signs and get your bread, this and every Saturday. We'll be there, waiting for you with heaps of freshly baked bread and pastries!

Things got fancy at the curb market today! I brought Gateau Basque, which is a dessert that originated in the Basque region of France. It has two buttery pastry crusts with a filling of vanilla pastry cream between them. Slices went quickly today, but I’ll bring it again next week.

It’s a beautiful day to stop by the Montgomery Curb Market. I brought chocolate and red velvet hearts today, and will have some next week as well. You can order ahead by texting or calling me at 334-467-0370.

January is for trying out new things, so today I made coconut macaroons for coconut loving folks. I’m not a fan of shredded coconut though, so had to have someone else taste them.

Looking for nice little treat for someone like a teacher, neighbor, or coworker? Heck, even for yourself! These chocolate chip cookies coated with dark chocolate peppermint bark are unique and delicious. Chocolate crinkle cookies are always a great gift idea because they’re both pretty and delicious.

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, so I’m dusting off the old pumpkin pie recipe. This pie is gluten friendly. I’ve got slices of both gluten friendly crust and regular flour crust at the Montgomery curb market today.

One of my favorite desserts growing up was lemon icebox pie, so I brought mini lemon icebox pies today. I’ve also got slices of chocolate cheesecake as well as all the usual suspects.
