In truth I am digging out from the pile of things I missed the last few weeks since we have been airstreaming at Airstream Club International’s 69th International Rally / Farmers Marketing and !
I would be remiss if I didn’t express gratitude for the people we met, the opportunities we were given and the fun we had.
Two years ago we hosted lunch with those at ACI in hopes that they would choose Minot as a host site for an international rally, & two years ago we were told to mark our calendars! When the time finally came, the rally had us catering for regional meetings, Mad Hatter Tea Parties and slinging food and drinks out of our airstream for about two weeks. We met fabulous people who helped us figure out a few quirks with our airstream, folks who ordered every day, and many many folks who were excited to cheer us on in our airstream businessing. It was lovely to see all that an airstream rally is, truly work in building community, it was great to be there. 💛
We made our way back to Minot Farmers Market which felt like returning to a comfy blanket, we were happy to be back and to know what to expect.
Then, Sunday we got to celebrate Minot Food Truck Festival 10 year anniversary! I remember the first event well- it has always been a resounding success- and this year was no different- I heard estimates of over 3500 people.
Coming from an organizing background myself, I know what it takes to do these sorts of things and I am thankful for the work completed so that we could have the successful couple of weeks we had here! Thanks to all the teams I mentioned above and Visit Minot for including us in the plans from the very beginning! We are lucky to have all of you organizing for Minot and were glad to be a part of the joy!
Finally, this weekend marked Christian’s last day. She’s starting student teaching & a long term sub position but stayed on to get me through this busy time. She has brought me/ us organizational sanity, solid leadership for our new recruits and dependability that has brought us success! Thank you Christian for all you have brought to the bakery!! It’s busy season & so on we go!
