Crumb Alchemy is officially having a soft launch.

For the last several weeks, I’ve been developing, testing, changing my mind, testing again, photographing, tasting, tweaking, and generally becoming far too emotionally involved with two cakes.

I’ve spent an unreasonable amount of time staring at cake crumbs like they were giving me answers.

And now, finally, they feel finished.

Meet Rune and Ember.

💛 Rune is a vanilla bean cake generously spiced with cardamom, layered with cinnamon, nutmeg, citrus and honey, and finished with Grand Marnier syrup. It’s warm, fragrant, citrusy, and a little mysterious.

🧡 Ember is a dark chocolate cake deepened with coffee and warm cinnamon, spiced with ancho chile and cayenne, and studded with crystallized ginger and mini chocolate chips, then finished with Grand Marnier syrup. It’s rich, intensely chocolatey, very moist, with a slow little kick of heat.

They’re big, beautiful Bundt cakes, baked to order at $45 each.

For now, I’m keeping Crumb Alchemy small while I learn the rhythm of taking orders, baking, packaging, and sending these beauties out into the world.

A limited number of cakes are available each week. Order by Friday at noon for Saturday pickup between 12 and 3 PM. Door pickup only.
