🍰 Meet IMPACT Grant Finalist Michelle Franzen, Owner of Baked By Chelle! 🍰

Please join us in celebrating Michelle Franzen, one of this year’s finalists in the weVENTURE Women’s Business Center IMPACT Grant competition. At the 2026 IMPACT Summit, Michelle will pitch her business for a chance to receive funding to support the continued growth of her newly opened bakery in Downtown Melbourne.

Baked By Chelle is the realization of Michelle’s lifelong dream of sharing authentic Italian and Italian-American pastries with the community. Inspired by family traditions and her Italian heritage, Michelle brings years of professional culinary and pastry experience to every item she creates, from cannoli to specialty cakes and cookies.

A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu and a classically trained pastry chef, Michelle built her business on a commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and making everything fresh from scratch each day. What started as a dream rooted in family recipes and traditions has quickly become a beloved new addition to Melbourne’s small business community.

Help us cheer on Michelle as she takes the stage at the 2026 IMPACT Summit on October 1 to share her vision for growing Baked By Chelle and bringing even more sweet opportunities to the Space Coast.

It’s time! We are ready to open our doors and scream from the rooftops that we are here! Our grand opening is Saturday, August 8. We will have a day full of fun and to make it even better, we have the honor of sharing this day with our partner Artwork Orange, our upstairs neighbors Bump Maternity who has just had a wonderful expansion, and our newly moved neighbors across the street, Essential Elements!!
And most importantly, we will be celebrating the retirement of our wonderful Sandy who made sure we all had great gifts for friends and loved ones for 29 years at Sendala’s!

If you get downtown early, take a class at Neighborhood Barre Downtown Melbourne or grab a snack at Baked By Chelle! Both newer, Downtown businesses !
We hope that this Saturday you’ll stop by and take a look not only at our shop but at those of our neighbors as well!

This past Friday, I had the pleasure of personally hand-delivering our August edition of Spotlight Magazine to Michelle and Kevin at Baked by Chelle.

What makes this bakery so special isn't just the incredible pastries; it's the people behind them. Baked by Chelle is truly a family-and-friends operation, and I feel blessed to have gotten to know Michelle, Kevin, and their team.

We're proud to feature Baked by Chelle as our August Business of the Month, and I couldn't be happier for them. Their passion, hard work, and commitment to quality shine through in everything they create.
