I still have a lot of work ahead of me this evening to get ready for the last Jacksonville Sunday Market of the year tomorrow! I’m so blessed to love what I do, but sometimes it is a lot of work and regretfully I could not slow down to sit with Wendy and enjoy the sandwiches that she made for us for dinner. Well, I just scarfed down half of the sandwich and it immediately changed my whole mood! My new Baker buddy, Loretta from Legacy Springs Farm came to Market and worked at the booth next to me and gifted me this amazing Kalamata olive loaf that she baked! I cannot say enough good things about this loaf. The moment I put it into my mouth and bit down on it, the cooling sensation and softness and freshness really gave my taste buds something to be excited about. The quality and freshness is next level! I have absolute admiration for bread bakers. There’s just something magical with simple fresh bread!
Wendy made our sandwiches with just some ripe avocado and garden tomatoes, and mayo, but it was heavenly. Sometimes the simplest things are absolutely the best. What a reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things right in front of us and not worry about the little day-to-day things. Or as my friend Greg says, “Don’t sweat the petty things… pet the sweaty things. Lol.😁

Fresh batch of my housemade “Hot Buddy Honey” for market this weekend!! it all starts with raw unfiltered Oregon honey. Then I cook in Italian Calabrian chilie paste and fermented red jalapeños. Then I finish it off the heat with fresh chilies, and a bit of homemade habanero Sriracha, Baja gold salt, and Italian white condimento. Blending it as it cools brings some air into it and makes it nice and creamy. Add some to your pizza this weekend! I’ll be at the.Grants Pass Growers Market, tomorrow, Saturday from nine to one in the grasshopper parking lot at fourth and F St. Or you can also catch me for the final Sunday Market Of this season at theJacksonville Sunday Market from 9 to 2 at the historical City Hall courthouse. We have live music with.Dennis Konecny and you can bring your Doggie for some fun in the sun on the green grass underneath the shady trees!!. A good time for everyone.🍕🦊🍪
