We have a substitute mail lady at the bakery for the next two weeks. She got her first cinnamon sugar pretzel Thursday. She came in today and said that she took the pretzel home and shared it with her husband. She said how amazing it was. We told her to remember that pretzels were every Thursday and Saturday. Her exact words were: "I'm going to try to not remember that!"

This is what it looked like outside of my bakery on Second Saturday as I am frantically trying to get pretzels made and the girls trying to get everyone's order taken and trying to de-escalate a fight that was about to break out as to who was first in line! Crazy!

Things were a bit busy at Save Room For Dessert and the Meadville Market House this morning.

Always a good morning when Mary and her staff are putting all of us in Carb overload 🙂

Hey Meadville (and surrounding towns)! Thank you so much for a fantastic Second Saturday! We sold out of pretzels!!! This was a record day - we appreciate each and everyone one of you and your support of this small business. So we will be closing down a little early today!!

I'm on a roll, or should I say, a pecan sticky roll! Made a batch today and they're so good, my Kippa Bus driver is now a groupie - he's obsessed! Swing by the bakery and grab one before they disappear like magic!!

Most of you know that we make apple dumplings. Well, today I made a mixed berry apple dumpling which is something I've been wanting to make for years. I finally did and they turned out fantastic! They have raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and apples. We have a limited amount so stop down while they are still available! So yummy!!

We had another great quote today from one of our fantastic soft pretzel customers!:

Customer and his significant other went to a huge market - several times bigger than the Market House in South Carolina. They walked by a stand selling soft pretzels. Customer asked significant other if she wanted a pretzel. She rightfully said "no." Customer to me: "Mary, we would never cheat on you!"
