Birthdays are best when toasted with a celebratory drink. And if you’re lucky enough to make it to 100, something special is definitely called for.

Mancini's Bakery which has been baking its Italian twist bread in the West Park neighborhood of Stowe since 1926, has decided to mark its 2026 centennial with a beer.

The bakery has teamed up with Velum Fermentation on the South Side to create Mancini’s Italian Pilsner, a collaborative beer marking 100 years of bread-making. It was crafted with the casual drinker in mind, says third-generation owner Nick Mancini Hartner.
