After 30 years, Theresa's Italian Bakery is closed for Retirement of the owner Nicholas Vasselo. It has been wonderful watching Theresa's dream of owning a bakery and bringing delicious cookies and cakes to the community become a reality. After Theresa's passing, her loving husband Nicholas continued on with her legacy. However, the time has come for him to enjoy his family and growing grandchildren.

We want to thank everyone in the community for their support for 30 years, and we hope that your memories of having good Italian cookies and desserts remain close to your hearts as we were a part of so many celebrations. Thank you to all from the Vasselo Family!

Joe and Theresa were such good friends! Perfecting the Tiramisu took a few tries as Theresa worked so hard to bring it up to Joe’s high standards. After the recipe was perfect—the results were amazing! There was always room for this dessert after an amazing meal! 🇮🇹🍷 🍰

Due to the increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases in Allegheny County, we have decided to temporarily close once again to keep our customers and employees safe. We are grateful for your continued business and will update this page upon reopening once again. Stay healthy!

To our loyal customers and friends:

We have made the difficult decision to close at this time due to the state of emergency regarding the COVID-19 Virus. We value the health and safety of all of our employees and customers, and feel it is best to close until further notice. We will reassess our reopening date based on local and national guidelines regarding this pandemic.

This is the first Easter in almost 30 years that Theresa’s will not be open to serve our customers delicious baked goods such as Nut Rolls and our Traditional P***a Bread. However when this is over, we can assure you that we will return to baking our delicious treats once again! Stay healthy and have a Happy Easter!
