We saw your post, and it means more than you know. Truth is, both of our teams worked incredibly hard for this — not just in the kitchen, slinging plates every single morning, but outside of it too, rallying our communities, sharing, voting, showing up for us. That takes heart.

We sat with it, talked it through, and landed exactly where we wanted to be. However the final numbers shake out, we’re not interested in a cloud hanging over something that brought so much joy to so many people. We’re happy — genuinely happy — to share this crown with you. Two kitchens, two teams, one incredible community that showed up for both of us.

We feel the need to address the controversy around “The Breakfast Wars” win…….

We were declared the winner (with screenshots provided of the votes)…….

Then people started posting their screenshots of the votes that contradicted those numbers…….

Now there’s a black cloud over this entire (once fun!) battle. We certainly don’t want to be declared the winner if we didn’t really win. That just doesn’t sit right with us……

The battle may be over and Steve’s decision final, but we’re both Champions here 🏆 🏆

If we did come in 2nd, which other screenshots show, we will gladly step aside. 2nd place isn’t losing, it’s silver 🥈 and we’re still pretty darn proud of that!

In the meantime, we’ll share the honors with Jenny Lee Breakfast Nook, a total class act ❤️
