So, I have to share because even I thought this was too good to be true.

I am kicking myself for not taking better photos but I genuinely did not think the result would have been like this.

A few days ago my kiddo was the victim of a failed epidural by a mud dauber. Mr. Dauber was simply sitting on the couch minding his business when my child had the audacity to unknowingly lay back on top of him. The rest is history. 🪄

My boy usually has large local reactions to stings. It’s the first time I’ve had our Lavender & Plantain salve handy when he’s gotten stung so I slathered it on him when we first sat down to see what had happened.

First photo was at 4:04 pm, second photo was at 5:00 pm on the dot - I was fully expecting the spot to be 5x the size it was earlier.

What? 🤯😂 any other sting he would still be complaining of the itching and he’d still be swollen, days later. He did itch a bit on day two when he woke up but the swelling was barely there, and he only complained about it being sore one time beyond that.

And I’ve been treating this plant like a w**d my entire life. 🤯🕺🏽

Hand-cut the first of fiftyleven lbs of cranberries last night before bed to throw into the dehydrator for simmer pot kits.

Maybe if I start preparing now, the winter months won’t make me forget who the heck I am this year. 🧘‍♀️ I thought that last year too, but I still got consumed and I wasn’t sure I’d climb back out of it this spring.

Anywho, this morning I went to check on them and was met with thousands of little seeds stuck to the bottom of my feet right in front of the dehydrator that I didn’t notice were there last night - I must have not even thought about it when I jiggled the trays to separate the berries 😅 furthermore, my first immediate thought was “oh no, somebody got into the sprinkles and spilled them all over the floor!” - knowing we do not have sprinkles nor do we ever have sprinkles.

Funny how a half-asleep mind works.
