Most people see plantain growing in their yard and call it a w**d, but this little plant has been used for generations as a helpful backyard remedy.

Plantain leaves contain natural compounds that have traditionally been used to soothe irritated skin. Many people crush a fresh leaf and apply it to bug bites, stings, minor scrapes, or itchy spots for temporary relief. Chomping on a fresh leaf and applying it makes a great poultice! 😅

You’ll often find plantain growing right under your feet, such as in lawns, pastures, and along pathways. It’s hardy, easy to identify, and brings me back to second grade recess when I'd find joy in breaking the stem, pulling it apart, and seeing which "string" was the longest. I swear I was normal at one point in my life ✌️

🌱 Nature’s first-aid kit might be closer than you think 🧐 and if it's approved by Tilly and Luna, the two most picky goats ever, it must be good stuff 🤷‍♀️

The forbidden peanut butter 🐝

I have so much propolis. Anyone ever made a tincture or spray?

These guys swarmed, but the remaining part of the family is raising a new queen and hopefully will be back in business before too long.

Very spicy hive. 🌶️🐝 but I got about 15 lbs of honey and only one minor sting 👌 no epi pen today so we’ll count it all as a win ✌️😂
