Now open FRIDAYS! We are happy to announce that due to popular demand, Caliwala Bakery is now open and baking bread and pastries Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday every week. 8 am to 4 pm or until we sell out. It’s a pleasure to be your whole grain sourdough bakers! 😘👌🥖🥐✨

Today’s special flavors of whole grain sourdough include a brand new flavor, a new favorite and an oldie but a goodie - Millet Sesame Semolina, Curried Almonds and Currants, and Firecracker ( and fire roasted red peppers). We have a dozen flavors of bread today that will go perfectly with a cozy, rainy day!

Today we also have freshly baked while-grain sourdough pastries (including our special white chocolate and wild blueberries with lemon curd), our collection of original cookies, tarts and brownies, tamale pies, and a special shortbread made with freshly ground pistachios (pictured).

Our hearts (and our bakery shop!) are full this season! Did you know that we have the cutest little gift shop here ? Featuring local, handmade gifts and goods, as well as some thoughtful Fair Trade items including our ever-so-popular felted ornaments from , our intention with this shop is to offer unique gifts that make gift-giving worthwhile and special.

What’s available this year? We have soaps made by Los Osos resident Colleen of Garden Girl Soaps, honey from Sierra Honey Farm and Native Herbs & Honey, the most delicious finishing oil we’ve ever tasted from .olive.oil Ohanneson Organic Olive Oil, some of the most cozy knit hats made of wool and alpaca, felted wool finger puppets and hand puppets, cocoa, bars and nibs for baking, handmade jewelry, local children’s books and more! An homage to the original Caliwala Market, we are proud to curate some of the groooviest and most thoughtful gifts you can find this season! Happy Holdiays from the Caliwala Family!

For the complete meal, the cost is $80 per serving - a generous meal for one, or a light meal for two people. We are also offering a Light Meal for one person for $45.

It begins! Prep for curating our Thanksgiving Feast for dozens of families will continue over the next few days here in the Caliwala Kitchen. We have freshly baked bread today as usual, pastries, cookies and tarts, smiles and good vibes.

BREAD ORDERS FOR OUR THURSDAY BAKE are still open. Please let us know if you would like to place an order for freshly baked bread (to be picked up Thursday morning between 8 am and noon). Orders need to be in by 4 pm today in-person, via email ([email protected]) or by calling (805) 471-2787.

Still looking for a full meal for Thanksgiving? Need a quick addition of some gourmet side dishes? Have a hankering for freshly-baked bread on Thanksgiving day? We are curating all of these lovely offerings at our bakery in Los Osos by reservation for pick up on Thanksgiving day morning.

A complete feast offered by our kitchen - there’s no better way to treat yourself this Thanksgiving! We still have some meals available by reservation - $75 for a large portion of our ten course feast (a generous meal for one, a light meal for two), $40 for a half/light meal - and all of the courses are available by the serving as well!
