I had placed an order for a birthday cake for my daughter studying at USC which was to be delivered on the 6th of April by 5pm. When I realised that the cake had not been delivered by 5pm, I tried calling and emailing your bakery but there was no answer as the bakery was shut by then, and only when I called back on the next day, 7th of April, someone said that there had been a glitch and that they would deliver the cake to her by evening on the same day. I spent 18 hours in anticipation wondering what had gone wrong.
I had ordered this cake specially for my daughter's birthday and it's not acceptable that you guys did not do the delivery as committed. I live across the globe and had got your reference from parents who have used the service earlier, but my experience was just terrible. A birthday cake cannot be delivered after the birthday, whats the point? Not only did this cause me a lot of disappointment and stress but also made my daughter really sad. I spent a lot of time and energy trying to figure what went wrong and the only response I got from your bakery was, we really dont know what happened, but we can deliver the cake today instead. And I did not have the heart to cancel the order, as I atleast wanted my daughter to celebrate the next day and make up for all the disappointment she had faced the day prior. Also, when I asked the bakery how they could compensate me for this terrible mistake, they said they could give me a 15$ gift card. This is not what I expect from a bakery like yours which is known for exceptional service.
