What is ‘The Fast and The Furious’? (A movie title, AND a perfect description of Sunday night’s KING TRIVIA game!) Fierce competition and close scores ruled the day (early evening)—Newcomers ‘Good To Go’ were as relentless as a T-1000, even going ‘Old School’ and playing a hand-written home version when the internet unceremoniously booted them out of gameplay. (COME BACK NEXT WEEK!) Returners ‘Titans’ fiercely fought to a forty-point Fourth Place. ‘Hodge Podge’ and sha-na-na ‘Shayna Maidelas’ made BDB history tonight with our first-ever tie-breaker round, which left the ‘Maidelas in Third Place, and the ‘Podgers in Second! The weekly-renamed ‘Dyslexics Untied’ claimed an unsurprising First Place, and the entire night was PUREJOY! (Except for that synapse-shattering J. P. Morgan question….) Come on out, so you don’t MISS out! (And even though it’s Happy Hour, our FULL MENU is in effect! See ya next week!!!!

Forget the scores—to me tonight’s Rainy Day Edition of KING TRIVIA was a Ten out of Ten!!!

Fearsome First-timer ‘Team Gary’ earned major props for joining late and playing for keeps! (That Devil-May-Care, Double-or-Nothing attitude will take you FAR next week, my friend…) Ahead of Gary came die-hard ‘Team Of Won’, narrowly missing the Winner’s Circle, but still grabbing Fourth Place! ‘The Klingon Empire’ aggressively invaded the game to begin with, but ultimately fell on their swords for Third Place!—“Heghlu'meH QaQ jajvam!” (If you know what that means, you might have the answer to a future question…) ‘Shayna Maidelas’—the Go-To Gang—nestled comfortably into Second Place, and lastly but not leastly (joining hands across the generations), ‘Cats And Rats’ swept the board and grabbed the Glittering Gold Goblet of Glory! Congratulations, (and Happy Birthday, Henry)! That’s our SECOND Birthday win in the last three games! (What are the odds of THAT?)

As you can see, ANYTHING can happen, and EVERYTHING is possible—bring your friends and come out next Sunday to make a little MAGIC happen for YOU!

Bingo, Bango, Bongo! (And Irving)…did we have a fab one this Sunday!!!

Team Curioso came and went before the night ended, but nabbed a de facto Fourth Place, anyhoo (!)(hope you come again NEXT week)…another timid twosome tested their acumen (albeit offline) and nearly joined the fray formally—you’re ALWAYS welcome here, to form your own (or join another) team! The plucky ‘Team of Won’ aced Third Place, and the ‘Shaynas’ (of ‘Maidela’ fame) scored a Second Place slot, ever so narrowly missing the Brass Ring, which went to newly-formed ‘Team In The Back’ who grabbed the Gold with Gusto!

As always, large laughs, mountains of munchies, and a gaggle of giveaways was the rule!!! Join us again next week (same bat-time, same bat-channel) for all the thrills and spills that are KING TRIVIA!!!

Another Killer night of KING TRIVIA! And for a change, my outfit was NOT the hit of the night! (Just kidding—of COURSE it was!) Perennial players, the ‘Shayna Maidelas’ held a commanding lead in our ‘Name That Tune’ round, but relinquished their long-held First Place crown, slipping to Third Place (!!!) No one was more shocked than I. (Or ‘me’, depending on where you’re from…) Despite a long hiatus, the reunited ‘Caerbannog Rabbits’ showed they haven’t lost their touch, slipping deftly into Second Place shoes. Last week’s ‘Teamatu’ morphed Transformer-like into the newly-formed (and cleverly-named) ‘Gone With The Wins’…and they certainly ‘Went With The Winnings’, handily snabbing First Place! (Not a bad Birthday gift, that!!!)

The night was a BLAST! (and the players even BLASTIER)!!!

Hope you all come back next week, and be sure to tell your friends that BDB is THE place to be!

Fab night of Trivia, friends!
Team Kenshin dipped their toes in once before, but went full cannonball tonight! Great job, gang!!! (thanks for the assist, Michael), and can’t wait to see you NEXT week!

‘Teamatu’ took a sad song and made it better, turning a rough week around by nabbing Fourth Place AND our drinking round (for the second time, btw)! Tough twosome ‘Titans’ worked their way to Third Place, NARROWLY missing the coveted Second Place slot, ultimately surrendering it to ‘Team Of Won’. (Mike, Dana—your names shall live on in the Halls Of Triviata)….

Lastly, but not Leastly, First Place went to the ever-lasting, ever-present, ever-effervescent….
‘Shayna Maidelas’!!!!! (Where were YOU, Scott?….yeah, I’m talking to YOU, Team ‘Hodge Podge’—come back and give these girls the ‘run for the money’ they deserve!!!!)

The Sun may have set early, but the fun NEVER set on tonight’s Time-Change Trivia Game!

With a near record-breaking number of teams (7), we played past closing-time, and lived to tell the tale! The competition was fierce yet friendly, pitting newcomers, regulars, and old-timers against each other…’Titans’ came out strong, and while not in the Winner’s Circle, made quite a showing first time out! Returners ‘Real Sisters’, Team ‘Hangry’ and ‘Team Of Won’ tightly-trailed Third Place, with neck-and-neck scores up until the last minute! Third Place went to plucky ‘Lots Of Lox’, Second Place to the intrepid ‘Shayna Maidelas’, and First, but not least (wait—what?) ‘Hodge Podge’ took the crown!!

A splendid time was had by all (even tho’ NO ONE knew ‘Cheese And Onions’ by the Rutles). You REALLY have to come yourself, so you can see what everyone’s talking, laughing, and WINNING about!!!

Always fact-packed and fun-filled, this week’s KING TRIVIA was no exception!—Newcomers, the ‘Blue Team’ tested the waters (is that why the name?) by joining late and leaving early…COME AGAIN NEXT WEEK (for full emersion). The ever-present and ever-powerful ‘Debbie’s Team’ (we LOVE you guys) captured Fourth Place in a tight-scoring, hotly-fought battle for the Winner’s Circle. Our other Newbies—‘The Ferengi’ (love the reference) grabbed Third Place AND won our drinking round, right out of the gate! (not bad for a maiden voyage)….’Team Of Won’, determined to WIN position ONE, came in (by ONE point) at Second Place…..AND—drum-roll, please—our returning die-hards…those fabulous femme-fatales (plus you, Ed) came back from their self-imposed hiatus to nab the coveted FIRST-PLACE SPOT!!!

I’m sure if YOU had played, you’d’ve knocked them off their pedestal and grabbed the GOLD, yourself! (The only way to know for sure is to play). Next week you’ll have your chance…we play every Sunday at 4pm—->

Last night’s KING TRIVIA was a great evening of giddiness and gameplay that saw a post-pandemic record of EIGHT teams playing!!!

New-comers ‘Doorknockers’ left us all too soon (come again next time!) Team ‘Zilin’ stayed later this time, and it paid off in point-gain! ‘Hodge Podge’ returned, with Scott bearing the torch for the rest of the crew (well done)! First-timers ‘Ladies For China’ and ‘A Pup Named Zoe’ edged their way upward thru’ the night, narrowly missing their spots in the Winner’s Circle. ‘Real Sisters’ (they really are) took their maiden voyage on S.S. Trivia to a Third-Place win!—well done!!! ‘Team Of Won’ was a juggernaut, who used her ‘dubb-or-naught’ to power into a Second-Place slot! And…(drum-roll, please)…the coveted First-Place position went to first-time team, ‘Fun-Trivia-Chat’—who popped open a bottle of our bubbly in celebration!!!!

The only thing that would’ve made the night better is if YOU joined us with YOUR team!
