If you’ve followed my account for a while, you know that 100% of my cookie sale proceeds is donated directly to dog/senior dog rescue organizations. Senior rescues have so so much love to give; they are wonderful dogs.
Choosing which organizations to support is never easy. There is such a great need and so many groups doing incredible work. This year’s cookie proceeds went to The Farm: Senior Dog Sanctuary, Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue, and truefaithfulpetrescuemission. I’d love it if you took the time to visit their pages. Their good work and the very good dogs they help will make you smile, guaranteed.
I am so grateful for everyone who has ordered cookies. Thanks to you, since 2023, my cookie donations have totaled nearly $9,000. My goal for 2026 is increase my cookie sales by 20% and grow that running total even more!
Since this post is more about rescue dogs than cookies, I’ve added a short video of my rescue pup, Jack. He came to me at 13 years old, and now he’s on his way to 17! He loves blankets and burrowing, sitting on my lap, sniffing everything on slow walks, and going for car rides. Don’t miss the part of Jack wrapping himself up in his favorite blanket at the end!
And just for fun, here are a few of my favorite dog accounts (in addition to the ones listed above):
Adopt Old Dogs (Because … well, obviously!)
Steve Schirripa (Because his dog Willie Boy makes me imagine how Jack might have been as a younger dog)
Meet Wilma (Because I love her charming dachshund art!)
Thank you all so much for helping these dogs ❤️ Duveen
