Someone recently asked us, “Do you know how many women’s closets there are in Polk County?”
Yes. We do.
There are wonderful organizations that provide clothing for women who are financially struggling or preparing for jobs and interviews. And despite that, within ONE week of announcing our Confidence Closet, we received several LARGE bags of clothing and handbags.
That told us something important.
The need is bigger than finances.
Women need confidence. Women need support. Women need a place where they can walk in without shame, embarrassment, or having to explain their situation.
At first, we wondered how we would display everything and allow women to “shop” comfortably. Then we realized… we were looking at it the wrong way.
So we decided:
✨The Confidence Closet is for ALL women.
✨Your financial status is none of our business.
✨If you’d love a little glow up, come shop.
✨ If you can bring something to trade, amazing.
✨If you can’t trade anything right now, that’s okay too.
✨If you recently donated elsewhere and simply need a boost yourself, you are still welcome.
No questions asked.
Our goal is simple:
To help EVERY woman feel confident, seen, and supported.
So ladies, here’s your reminder, please bring any new or gently used business attire to our meeting tomorrow. Blazers, dresses, dress pants, bras, handbags, shoes, high heels…. even if you have sealed unused makeup! 👗👜👟🥿👠💄
