A cohesive dessert table starts with carrying the same details from one dessert to the next.

These Baby on Board sugar cookies were created for a beach-themed baby shower, using a simple palette of ocean blues and sandy beige to bring the theme together.

Each sugar cookie was hand rolled and decorated by hand with royal icing, with beach-inspired details throughout the set.

We also created matching gluten-free cupcakes so the entire dessert lineup felt like it belonged together.

The cookies get their moment today, but stay tuned. The cupcakes are coming next!

You don't need a big guest list to have a custom birthday cake.

For this Hawaiian-themed celebration, a petite 4" cake was all they needed. I used sugar hibiscus and plumeria flowers as the focal points, giving a small cake plenty of tropical personality and detail.

That's one of the reasons I love offering smaller cake sizes. You can celebrate with just a few people and still have a cake that feels every bit as special as one made for a room full of guests.

A wedding cake doesn't have to be elaborate to feel elegant.

For this wedding, we kept the design simple with alternating white and gold textured buttercream, small floral accents throughout, and a simple "B" topper to finish everything off.

The bride also needed a gluten-free option, but she still wanted to have that traditional first cake-cutting moment with her groom. So alongside the main wedding cake, we created an individual gluten-free mini cake just for her.

She could cut the cake with her new husband, share that first bite together, and still be part of a wedding tradition that mattered to them.

Sometimes a simple cake design is the most versatile.

This sweet engagement cake keeps the design clean and lets the writing on top become the focal point. Change the message and it works just as beautifully for a birthday, anniversary, engagement, or another celebration.

We loved the versatility so much that we've added this design to our Weekly Drop. You can now order it every Monday and Tuesday for Friday or Saturday pickup, making it a great option when you need a celebration cake without the longer lead time of a fully custom order.

We also made a small change to our strawberry cake layers. We're now using a strawberry compound made with real strawberries to bring out a stronger, more nostalgic strawberry flavor. The compound itself is vegan and gluten-free and gives the cake that classic strawberry flavor you might remember from childhood.

The best themed cakes aren't just about choosing a theme. They're about choosing details that actually mean something to the person you're celebrating.

For this old-school inspired birthday cake, I started with an edible graffiti wrap and built the rest of the design around some of his favorite things. Edible 2D decorations covered the sides and top, turning the entire cake into something completely personal to him.

Inside, we kept it classic with four layers of vanilla cake and three layers of vanilla Italian meringue buttercream.

A cake can look cool on its own, but adding those personal details is what makes it feel like it was made for one person and no one else.

Party desserts can be beautiful without making serving complicated.

That's one of the reasons I love cupcake bouquets. Each flower is individually piped onto a cupcake, then everything is arranged and finished with greenery and stems to create the look of a full bouquet.

For this 16th birthday, we used a soft pink and white palette with chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and vanilla American buttercream.

Guests get the look of a centerpiece with the convenience of individual desserts. Just grab a cupcake and enjoy the party.
