I had the honor of making staff appreciation cookies for my sons school. He’s been there since Pre-K and graduates in two weeks. I don’t want to get mushy on a cookie page so I’ll just say I love the way they turned out. The toppers from MongDesignStudio on Etsy were perfect❤️

I asked my granddaughter if she wanted me to make Peppa Pig cookies for her birthday (I’d been practicing). She said no. She wanted cookies with her name on them. So that’s what she got!

I usually like to save the best for last, like saving the full pretzel rods until all the broken and foresaken abominations have been eaten. This is only my second concert this year and I saw my all time favorite musical artist !! Can you guess who it is? I’ve loved him forever, so if you know me, you know. Go Team USA! That Tokyo Olympic logo is no joke! They were definitely not thinking of cookie decorating when they came up with that. The only way I could think to do it was airbrush, so I made my very own stencil with food safe stencil sheets and an exacto knife. The second pic is the difference between piping the figure first (on the left) and flooding the background first (on the right). Flooding the background first wins for this set. For first torch I did, the icing was too think and dried bumpy. I added some water into the piping hole of each bag and kneaded it until it was a right flooding consistency. It was only a few drops but it made a world of difference! So many lessons learned in this set. cookies

Tried a technique posted by to make snow cone cookies. I’m not sure if I would be excited or disappointed to reach for a cool refreshing snow cone and discover it’s a cookie. On one hand, it’s a cookie yum! On the other hand, it’s not a frozen ball of freezer burnt ice in rainbow colors with no discernible natural fruit flavor. Tough call.

A baby shower set for no one in particular. I love the onesie cookie cutter from Ann Clark. The flowers were inspired by a recent tutorial I watched, that I can no longer find (why didn’t I save it?!?) Took my daughter to the craft store for fabric and had to swing by the cookie decorating section. This Wilton three pack of summer fruit minis begged me to take it home. It looked at me with those big-eyed cute endless possibilities. I couldn’t just leave it, so they became part of my cookie cutter rescue effort 🤪 Still not sure how to decorate a pineapple, but I like my watermelon and lemon(thank you !)
