🙌 It's time to celebrate another one of our first-ever Tourist Attraction Grant recipients! In an effort to bring new attractions or elevate existing attractions that take place in our community, awarded grant funding to local businesses/non-profit organizations to help bring creative attraction ideas to fruition. While we could not award a grant to every worthy proposal, we are excited to celebrate each of the eight proposals awarded grant funding.
Hilliard Station Baking Co. is passionate about the history of Hilliard rooted in the railroad. In order to bring the history to life, they plan to:
🖼 Add a huge, framed railroad picture on the side of their building to be a focal point calling attention to the rich railroad history of Hilliard as visitors approach from the north coming down Main Street.
🚂 Display a working model train inside the Hilliard Station Baking Co.
These plans are still in the works, but we cannot wait to see it all come together!

Let’s celebrate with Hilliard Station Baking Co. on their 1st birthday today! They’ve sold over 1,000 cupcakes per week!
All cupcakes, only cupcakes, and always made from scratch with the finest ingredients! You can really taste the quality. That heaping pile of icing is my favorite! But the cakes taste great, too.
Weekly and daily flavors are available in white and chocolate cake. All flavors are available any day of the week when a dozen or more are pre-ordered.
Owners Tracy & David who have 4 and 5 kids, respectively, got married later in life. They wanted a place where their special needs daughter could work safely. You might see her if you stop in. Tracy left her teaching job to work full time at the bakery, and David continued working full time. He will be retiring this year and plans to help out at the bakery even more.
This was an exciting venture for them as it was the first thing they did together as a couple. They are located in a refurbished old building right in the heart of Hilliard.

Last month we gave a HUNDRED people free coffee from Coffee Connections of Hilliard on the first day of school. The response I got gave me goosebumps, so I want to continue to spread the kindness.
Starting on September 14th through the 18th, we are giving away one delicious cupcake to the first 25 lovely people who go to Hilliard Station Baking Co. each day of the week. That's right, a total of 125 cupcakes will be given away! There's no purchase necessary - just show up and ask for a free cupcake from Jill.
There's no reason for this... it's not even national cupcake day until December 15th-- I just want to put a smile on some of your faces! Spread the love and let your neighbor know about this and enjoy a cupcake together!
